ENV DYE-310

Leak Tracer Dye

ELIXIR ENV DYE-310 is our most environmentally acceptable dye and is fully compliant with SIS (Substance In Solvent) legislation is OCNS Gold / OCNS E with No Substitution Warning.

Product Overview

ELIXIR ENV DYE-310 is a fluorescent leak tracing dye concentrate designed for the tracing of leaks in a variety of subsea environments including subsea control systems, risers and pipelines.

ELIXIR ENV DYE-310 is typically dosed at a ratio of 100 – 200 ppm depending on application, yielding similar or better brightness intensities when compared to other mainstream conventional dyes (>10^6 counts).

ELIXIR ENV DYE-310 has excitation and detection frequencies at approximately 310 nm and 450 nm respectively. ELIXIR ENV DYE-310 also has a smaller excitation peak at 400 nm.

At typical usage levels ELIXIR ENV DYE-310 is compatible with a wide range of fluids including seawater, fresh water, methanol and many water based subsea control fluids.

At typical usage levels ELIXIR ENV DYE-310 is broadly compatible with materials commonly used in subsea systems and it is extremely unlikely the dye will have any impact on materials in general due to the very low usage concentrations typically employed (0.01 - 0.02 %).

ELIXIR ENV DYE-310 offers outstanding environmental credentials with an OCNS Gold / OCNS E with no substitutable components for UK Discharge, Yellow in Norwegian waters, and is also approved for use in Denmark. ELIXIR ENV DYE-310 is also fully in line with recent SIS (Substance in Solvent) guidelines.

ELIXIR ENV DYE-310 is available in 25 litre kegs, 200 litre drums and 1,000 litre IBC containers.

UK customers wishing to use ELIXIR ENV DYE-310 in their formulations are able to request a letter of access towards CEFAS for UK registration of end product/s.
